Prof. Taniguchi received the 56th Ichimura Prize in Science for Distinguished Achievement. This prize is established by the Ichimura Foundation for New Technology, and is provided every year to  researchers who have contributed to the advancement of academic fields and have achieved research that has the potential for practical application among research conducted at universities and research institutions. The award ceremony will be held at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on April 19, 2024.
