On February 1, 2023, Prof. Taniguchi was awarded the 5th Teruo Hiruma Optical Science Award for research achievements in the development of 3D single-molecule fluorescence imaging technology.
The Teruo Hiruma Optical Science Award is awarded to a researcher who has made original and unique research achievements and has contributed to basic research in optical science and optics technology developments in Japan.
The award ceremony will be held on March 7, 2023.
