Prof. Taniguchi was awarded the 9th Kyoto SMI Nakatsuji Award. The Kyoto SMI Nakatsuji Award was established by donations sent to the NPO Kyoto SMI by Norio Nakatsuji, the founding director of the Institute for Integrated Cell-Materials Sciences (iCeMS), Kyoto University.
This award is given to young mid-career researchers who have made outstanding achievements in the fields of bioscience and material science with a view to industry-academia collaboration.
